My Senior Individualized Project (SIP) involves depicting spaces in the West Side of Chicago. Using past moments in the city, I add flairs of colors hoping to elicit an emotional response. With a lived experience in Chicago, I aim to draw on emotions that are hard to put into words. With a mixed media approach, I try to bridge the parallel between drawing and painting by including a multitude of mediums in my work. I prefer leaving room for audience interpretation.
